Rubin Kazan-Fc Barcelona: An interview with a Kazan fan!

I am not the fan in your interview. Just so you know!
While journalists usually run after the stars seeking their "insightful" Cliche-like opinions, why not just sharing the spontaneous emotions and thoughts of unsung fans? I do believe it reflects more honesty. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did with Docent, the Kazan Fan:

Starting from last season, where were you during the Matches played between Rubin Kazan and Fc Barcelona? How can you describe that experience?

I was at home, sweet home, you know, watching the match online. And I can’t describe my experience, sorry man. Firstly, I’m not that kind of furious fans, I just like Rubin Kazan. Secondly, what experience we can talk about when watching online? Pls.

Last season Rubin Kazan’s performance changed the way people see the club. What kind of effect that season left on Rubin Kazan as a club and fans?
Huge effect, I can say. Club gained respect and attention, fans mob raised. Shortly. That’s my opinion.

What was the first impression you had when you knew that you will play Fc Barcelona once again this season?

Hmmm… Disappointment, as for me. We saw Rubin Kazan game with Spanish, German, Italian, Ukrainian and Israeli teams and want some variety!

How do you evaluate Rubin Kazan’s performance so far in the Russian Premier league?

Оhhh… Second place by score – not bad. Thats all.

Is Rubin Kazan this season a better team than last season?

For sure, my friend. Two old players are off, four new fresh COOL masters of ball are in. And this has its effect on the team performance.

What are your thoughts concerning the Champions’ league group this season compared to last season?
I don’t want to be original. Easier group, but there are further problems this season, because of our expectations and all.

Will Rubin qualify to the second round this time?

We must qualify to the second round this time. I think.

Rubin Kazan lost their first match in Copenhagen, how far will that affect their chances in the competition?

Damn match, damn Copenhagen. But you remember last CL season, RK lost game with DK, but finally stayed in the European competition. Sure, that sad match in Denmark will affect our chances in the competition.

Was the defeat in Denmark a surprise? What went wrong?

Wha…? Surprise?! Ahh man, if you can call that sh*t «surprise», okay, but we all never want that kind of «surprise» in our lives, you know. And what went wrong? That god-blessed Cop just wanted to win more than Rubin, thats all!

How do you feel about the match tomorrow?
I feel ok. Yeah, yeah, just ok. Except this fingers tick, all ok.

What are your expectations about the match?
My expectations… It will be a Holy Day. A Day that stays in history, and we will remember it in our hearts, you know.

Do you think Barcelona will be more difficult to beat this time or a less terrifying opponent after last season’s results?
Interesting question. It is true both ways. Barca knows Rubin, Rubin knows Barca. What can I add?

How did Rubin Kazan tactics changed since last season in your opinion?

Never changed. If it’s working, any touch may be fatal. so no need to change. Just small re-locations of some players on the field, cause of new transfers.

What is your predicted selection?
No-no-no man, I never do selection, clubbers do this very well, I believe in them.

Who are the most dangerous players Rubin can count on for this game? How can Rubin Kazan Beat Barcelona?
Cristian Ansaldi, Gökdeniz Karadeniz and Carlos Eduardo. They are fast, they can run, they can show Barcelona Rubin’s dangerous counter attacks. Simplest way to beat Spanish dudes – play your own game.

What are the weaknesses that concern you for this match? Do you think that may cause troubles against Barcelona?
I dont want even think about that but… Not much time went since new people joined the team. They are still looking for perfect connection between each other. It may cause some damn troubles.

Messi may not be fit enough to play, will that make things easier for Kazan?
Much easier! This football daemon can’t be stopped on his way to goal, so I bless to God, Messi won’t show his best game tomorrow.

Beside Messi, who is the player who can make the difference for Barcelona in this match against your team?

Never interested in this team. Just heard about D.Villa, right? But they beat Pao 5:1 at Camp Nou, do we need to say more? Same club, same hard play.

What are Barcelona’s weaknesses that you believe Rubin Kazan can expose?

Weaknesses? Oh yeah, there isn’t a perfect team in the world, and you know what I think? If you’re strong in attack, your weakness is hidden in defense. Thats right!

So… Rubin Kazan are ready for the battle…

Rubin Kazan are fully prepared. We won recent games 1:0, and its much better this way, because it keeps team power within.

Where will you watch this match?

Online. At home. Once again. I don’t have any possibility to come to Kazan from my City of Naberezhnye Chelny (see Wiki for details).

If you had two choices, either placing a bet of 10000 Rub that Kazan will win or your house and lifetime earnings on Barcelona’s win, what will you prefer to bet on?

Aarrghh… You are joking, right? First option for sure, what’s the matter?!

Prediction?

0:0 or 1:0. Rubin Kazan will win, because we believe.

Thank you Docent! And we can only hope we watch an entertaining game.
